How can I get my phone to USB tether to my PC, and use Wi-Fi instead of cell service?
I have a Verizon moto G 2 on 5.1 lollipop and an old Dell p4 desktop.
What I want to do is effectively use my phone as a WLAN adapter to my PC running Linux.
I have the option to tether my phone through Verizon LTE service, but I want it to not use that but my Wi-Fi connection instead.
My PC is a Pentium 4 dell running Ubuntu 16.10 + LXDE . When I connect USB tethering it recognizes my Moto phone as USB Ethernet adapter but has no internet access.
Can I do this?
