helloooo

i am trying to use my phone as a hot spot for my asus eeepad, by putting on my mobile APN, my eeepad picks up the wireless connection but it will not run my gtalk or gmail. very slowly it logs on the webpages, however, my buddies older samsung wave connects the same way to my eeepad and its superfast, runs my gmail etc, i just use his phone as a wi-fi hot spot. what am i doing wrong???? Please advise.
Thanks in advance.

You did not mention what phone you are using to tether. Also, did you set your phone to use 3G connection ONLY, or perhaps it was using a 2G connection which is why its slow?
