Hi Guys,

Ive heard of people using thier cell phones as a wifi hotspot, and can then get internet access via 3g for thier laptops.

Is it possible to do it the other way around?

EG: I would like to get my phone to connect to my tab, (Galaxy 10.1 GT-P7500 {WiFi & 3G}) and use my tabs internet connection to download updates to the phone...

My tab has a MUCH better data package :-)

Tx Lee

Hi Thorston, Tablet is rooted. Actually did that last night :-) Not worried about the contract story, bought the tab privately and have a data contract only.

Will try those listed above, tks mate. Now to read up on different roms and see if Im brave enough to go that route LOL

Actually here in South Africa we pay about R9.50 extra per month (About $1) for a 2d SIM card linked to the original account and voila! Multiple devices on one contract. Also whats very nifty, out providers automatically pick up if the sim is moved to a different device, and you get a message asking if you want to download the settings for this device. Click yes and everything is set up automatically.

Actually, the first "how to advice" was spot on. Can you believe I searched everywhere to find that function LOL. Sigh, some mothers do have us huh :-)
