Help Tethering

My network allow tethering for free (Vodafone UK)

I cant figure out if the standard Android ICS software is capable of doing this without downloading an app?

On the iPhone its really simple to set up a personal hotspot, anything similar on the Galaxy S3?

Ive noticed a few apps saying you require Rooting the device in order to have a wifi hotspot, surely this isnt the case?

Yeah it's pretty simple on the gs3 as well. Go to setting, more settings, tethering and portable hotspot.
