Help tethering

Kyocera hydro connected to Mhl/HDMI adapter cable to Vizio t.v., tried HDMI 1&2, says retrieving data on t.v. screen then goes blank? What am I doing wrong? Cell is not rooted.

Hi and welcome to Androidforums! The hydro does not support mhl (afik). Rooting will not help this. It's simply a hardware limitation

Thank you for your reply. At this point in time I can't root, no program that I can find without using PC. Thanks for telling me rooting doesn't make a difference for this issue too. Ug, but oh well, lol...
