How do I open a hbk.file (text backup) that was sent to my email and saved on my desktop. my pc will not open a hbk.file

Hello and welcome to Android Forums! 
How did you make the file in the first place? I would have assumed that you would need to put the file back on your phone and opened/restored with the same app that made it? If you could let us know what app you used, we could try and help you further
