Text backup

I'm looking for a good text and SMS backup and restore program. I was using the free version of SMS to Text, which conveniently saved texts in both plain text and .csv formats. However I have just discovered that apparently it has a limit on how many texts it will back up, which I don't think was explicitly stated in the program's description. When I tried backing up my texts today, I saw that the first six months of texts were completely missing.

So now I'm asking if anyone knows of a free program that can back up years' worth of texts, without leaving any out, and also easily restore them?

Try the app gcloud it is a free cloud backup app. Look at my channel 4KTECH for a video describing how to use it! Hope this helps!

Hmm looks like a good app, I'll probably download that. I was actually looking for a non-cloud app originally...Verizon Cloud has 25 gb of free storage. Annoyingly though, despite all that storage, it only detected my most recent ~3 months' texts, thus neglecting many others.

I really like this one. Seems to do a good job.

I know there was one app I used to use that automatically put them in a folder in my Gmail, which was pretty nice, if you don't care about your space being taken up in Gmail.

I use that one as well, but I haven't tried to restore with it. I think there are some problems restoring to Kit Kat devices.
