Help text message fiasco

I'm having a serious dilemma with my text messages. I keep getting repeat messages over, and over, and over again.I mean I keep getting some messages as many as 30 times.(the record is 39 over 3 days). I've spoken with boost and they did all kinds of updates, ZTE did some over the air updates, and all to no avail. I can't really see it being the phone, I have to assume its a network issue, but it's driving me nuts. I don't know what to do, has anyone else ever had an issue like this? I've been with boost for over a year and never had a problem, but this last week has me to the point of wanting to throw my phone into a lake.anybody have any ideas ???

Sorry I didn't reply sooner, I've been really busy. Anyway, still have the problem. Yeah I've tried the recovery route, cleared my cache, factory reset, boost even did a reactivation, all to no avail. It wouldn't be so frustrating if it was only one person, but its multiple ppl. Some numbers are just worse than others. I could live with getting the same text maybe a couple times,...but it gets a little ridiculous when it's over 30x's, ya know?!?!lol...and to get the same text 2 days later for the umpteenth time ?? Makes me want to set a new record for how far I can throw a force. Apparently Boost is at a loss here too, so I don't know what to do.I've even gone app by app and removed them one by one to see if possibly one of them might be causing this.I'm honestly not a fan of any of the 3rd party messaging apps to switch. No matter what ROM I use, I always stayed with the stock one. I'm currently running the stock ROM so I can't even place blame there..like I said I'm just getting really frustrated

I would say try using a different app such as Handsent, You must disable notifications in the stock apps settings so you dont have two different notifications. If it still does the Fiasco then chuck it out a window.

Yeah it's really looking to be the next option in all this. I'm just pretty content with the stock app. In the past I've run through different apps, and just found that the stock one was best cause it's small in size and didn't waste space with all the water features that only a 16 year old could love...(I hope I don't offend any 16yr. olds out there if ur reading this) but u know what I mean? Seriously..Do u really need 4748 different types of emoticons to get ur message across?? Oh well off to the store I go to find an app. Let's hope for the best that this will cure my ills, otherwise I just might see how many skips I can make this thing do across the nearest lake

It's not the stock messenger. It's a network issue. Basically what's happening is the messages you are receiving repeats of are "lost" somewhere in space and isn't reporting that the message has been received or sent. I've had the exact issue just not to that extent. Most I've ever gotten was 12 of the same message from my wife. There's honestly nothing you can do. If the person sending the message is where they have crap signal the issue can happen, if you have crap signal it can happen. Using a different app will do nothing.

I kinda figured that..That's to never changed apps to start off with. I spent probably close to 2 hours on the phone with boost over 3 different calls while they did all kinds of network tests and updates. I was figuring that aPRL change might help, but u know good old boost wouldn't try it. I know that my texts must be floating around out there in the ether that I keep getting them even days later. With everything I've read about ppl's results when it comes to PRL changes I would think that it could actually help, and even if it doesn't, it couldn't hurt. Hell everything else they have tried hadn't worked. I could try it myself, but I just really don't feel confident in using CDMA workshop, since I've never done it before, and I know that I can really screw myself and brick the phone if I mess up. Plus I'd have to hunt through different PRL's just to find a suitable one. That's why I really wish they would be willing to just do it for me, I know they are able to. I think I'm going to call them yet again and try to push the issue to get them to try this option.
