Help Text Message Notifications Icon Gone

[Denise Dooley]

Since the update, I no longer get the text message icon when I have a text message. Anyone else having this issue?

[Hadron]

Which phone, which update, which message app, and if appropriate which launcher?

Galaxy note 5, update this Saturday (not sure the name), Galaxy note messenger app.

I added this to the Note 5 Channel in case others with the same device have any thoughts.

My mother is having this issue with her Blu R1 HD with google messages

It has to be something with the app itself, because I use Chomp SMS and my notifications are fine. Check the app's settings to make sure notifications didn't somehow get turned off by the update.

It is not my app. I have checked all the settings. It is not a 3rd party messaging app, it is the Samsung phone messaging app that worked properly before the update but no longer works.
