Text Message Notifications

I have a problem where my text message notification does not clear after I have read the message. I have to manually use 'Mark all as read'.

I assume you are using the built-in SMS app, in which case I've never used that one (i.e. the Huawei message app). I'd suggest trying an alternative app from the Play Store - Textra works completely reliably for me.
