Ok, so I really need some help. I have the Razr HD, stock. I just updated handscent and now on the first screen , after i unlock, the handscent icon has been replaced by the native green text icon. I set handscent to the default app, turned off the native text app, but I still cant get the handscent icon back on the 'home' screen. Any thoughts? I know i've missed something. Thanks for any help.
 
Have you tried opening your apps, finding Handcent, long-holding its icon, and placing it on your home screen?
 
i probably didnt explain this correctly. when u first touch the unlock button, the phone displays 4 icons in a circle. phone, camera, text and unlock. i used to have the handscent icon, now its the native text app icon.
 
So, I didn't think this was going to be difficlut, but how do I 'enable' the native text app ? I can see it in the list of apps, it says disabled. There is no button to enable. I'm now running JB. HELP!
 
I disabled in the Handcent settings, and when I tried to go into the stock text app settings the disable button was grayed out and I wasn't able to select it. The stock text icon is still in the lock circle. I'm also getting stock text notifications in the little time circle on the home screen. Just got the phone today and trying to figure it all out.
 
Sounds like you are accessing through the phone settings/menu/apps, rather than the menu of the actual text app. Find the app itself, click the text app icon, and access the app's settings from there.

Also, I don't think you can disable the stock app entirely either.
