Help Text message question

Is there a way to have your text message go back to the "home" screen after you close texts? If I am texting one person and I get out of it, when I open texts back up it starts where I left off instead of at the list of all texts. Is this possible to change?

That sounds odd.. text apps usually default to the home list of sms contacts .. unless you're not finished with the last text, in some sms apps.

Perhaps in the S4 there is a setting in the sms menu. I'd have a careful look in there.

S4 uses will chime in, hopefully.

Are you hitting the back button when done? Or the home button? If you hit the home button it stays just tell way you left it. If you hit the back button to exit it'll go back to the home scree.

Most of the time I use the home button out of habit. I am aware that if you hit the back button, it will go back to the main text list. However I was wondering if there is some way to have it go back after you close it with the home button.

If you hit the Home Button, you aren't closing the app, you are rather switching out of the app. When you switch out of the app, it stays in the same spot you were in when you switched out. It's a multitasking type thing. As far as I know, there is no way to hit the home button and have the app return to anywhere but where you were. If you back out to the conversation list (one tap of the back button) then hit the home button, it will return to the conversation list the next time. That is the closest to a solution that I have for you.

I'm with you... Hate that about messenger app. It is not feasible to tap "back" 3+times to exit after each text, and often when I do tap back I inadvertently hot space, causing "draft"
