text message threads - HELP

I have been searching all over the internet and to no avail have I found any help.I love my Samsung Acclaim but I hate the text messaging. I wish it was like my old standard phones I've had in the past that show your inbox, sent and drafts for the text messages. I really do not like how the threads are set up and I find myself always texting the wrong person. Is there any application that I can download that can change the threads into what I miss and loved about my old Banter?

What could possibly be easier than the way Android's SMS is laid out already?

All phones are like this now. We didnt need threaded texts before, because usually people would only get and send a couple texts a day. Now, with people texting multiple people, multiple times a day, there is NO way to NOT have threaded messaging.
