Text Message video \ music- Is there an app?

Why wont my droid play certain videos with audio that come through in text messages? My old simple phone used to. Is there an app which will assist with this? The vid \ aud is broken into seperate files.
 
What file format is the video being sent to you as? Most phones use .3GP which is old and for dumb phones. The Droid should have no problem playing this file type but give the free version of Act 1 video player a try. It's in the Android Market and it handles most of the commonly used file types except .avi at the moment.
