Text Messages and Screen

Heeelp I just did the ICS upgrade and now all my text messages are missing, that doesn't matter but I am unable to load my text messaging app Handcent because it seems like it's trying to load all my messages and freezes.
Android asks me to close beacuse it's not responding or wait.

I try the stock app and all it does is do the loopy thing at top


Also sometimes I noticed if I press the power button when the screen is off the screen will not turn back on until a minute later

I use the stock app, but you could go into mange apps and clear Handcent's cache, see if that helps.

Probably need a factory reset. It has been said countless time that for a major update like this you should reset afterwards so there aren't old gb files and info laying around causing issues

Didn't help, will do a factory restore now so many settings to reset..

Yup, unfortunately a factory reset after this major of an update is always recommend. Everyone still getting ics needs to do one.
