Is there any way that my text messages deleted themselves? I have sent/ received messages but they don't show up or come up deleted. Can a phone or phone system do this on its own?

Hi
Yes the phone can delete messages! There is a setting which limits how many it keeps.
In the messaging app
menu
settings
tick "delete old messages" then set how many to keep.
Normally the default is quite big but it may have been changed. Don't know if this is what is causing your issue but its worth checking.
