What is the best way to recover deleted text messages and backup text messages....?

I've used this app many times when I need to backup a message or transfer conversations to a new device:

It's free and works well. As for recovering deleted messages, I don't know of any way to do that.

Messages - once deleted, forever gone. However, if the information is important, maybe the other person in the conversation can forward you the thread from their phone.
