Help Text messaging issue, me or sender?

This is a new one for me.

I'm using Chomp, perfectly fine until now.

One of my contacts (my best friend so this is an issue) is sending me a text message. I receive the notification, hit it and go to Chomp. The message is not there on the thread. However, it is there in the list with one line preview.

I've been texting the wife today and hers show up fine.

The issue is the same in the standard Android messanger.

I don't know how many contacts this is effecting so far...

Any one else know anything about this? Is it somehow a problem with my mates phone?

I should add that I have been receiving SMS from my friend OK until today.
 
Thanks, but it didn't work.

I reinstalled Chomp and on normal settings the text message pop up shows all of his SMS but nothing still in the main thread...
 
do you have the no led app? i had to disable it on mines because it was causing issues with smspopup on mines
 
The default Messaging app has a setting that limits conversations to 200 messages. It's possible that this setting was clashing with some other setting in ChompSMS. Any chance your conversation thread was right around 200 messages when this started happening?
 
I don't think I had that many. I couldn't be bothered to backup and transfer so the NS started with zero SMS. I'm not that large a texter to get to 200 that quick...

I'll put it down as a bug and hope it doesn't happen again.
