Text messaging ringtones

Okay I had it before and lost it. I have ringtones on my sd card and have been able to add them to individual callers and also made one up for when I receive a text message. I had to do factory reset . Still have all the ringtones on sd card and have assigned them to all in my contact list but one in particular I used for text mesaging notification wont add to text messaging notification list after factory reset . Its in my music player but just wont take this time .Anybody have an idea

I copy any tone im gona use to the internal memory and it seems to make it stick :thumbup:

As funky mentions, if you keep it on your internal memory you will be better off. As, when you store them on your SD card you have a number of possible issues. Including when you are connected to your PC, depending on how you are connected, the SD card may not be available and the ringtone cannot be used.

Just move them to your internal memory at the highest level to folders called "ringtones" and "notifications"

Some phones it's the media folder first, then ringtones and notifications. Some Samsungs do that.
