Help Text messaging using Facebook names

Having a weird issue with my bionic. For certain people, my text messaging will change there names to whatever their name is on Facebook. For example, if I'm texting "John Smith," but his name is "John Robert" on Facebook, he will be listed as John Robert in my text messaging. None of my contacts are linked with Facebook so I don't know why my text messaging does it. Anyone have any solutions? Thanks.

Also, for these contacts and some others, when you press on their picture in the text messaging app an option comes up to go to their Facebook. But this is only for some not all.

Having the same problem with my Bionic. It seems the text messaging app is defaulting to the Facebook name even over the regular name in the Contact list. I've merged the contact with his "Facebook contact" so now it's just one entry in my contact list with the correct name (per the example above we'll say "John Smith"). But no matter what I try, his name is always still "John Robert" in the text message list.

Umm, from my experience the reason it would be doing that is because your phone synced your contacts with FB. You'll need to go into your settings and change that. That happened with my phone, anyone with their number on FB that is in your phone will be synced. It also added like 50 contacts to my phone cause of this.
