Help text messaging

On my lg revolution I went to delete all my texts and I got a text at the same time and now no matter what I do that message will not delete. So now it says I always have 1 text message all the time. It will not delete

I found similar issues with emails. Even cycling power doesn't reset that info/counter. On the email case I would receive an error message since the item had already been deleted on the server.

I was able to get around the problem by holding my finger on the selected item before trying to open it. Another menu pops up which includes delete. How it works for the text message too!!
