Text/MMS?

[Renniks]

Hi all, when I do a Large Text message it turns into a MMS? I don't want this so can anyone help? Strange!

Usually carrier imposed. Verizon allows approximately 480 characters before switching to mms. They allow 160 characters per SMS. Will combine 3 texts before converting.

An old friend used to say "anything over 140 characters is not a 'short message. It is an email."

Hi,
It's not only provider related. Most phones have a limit to the amount of characters, above that the sms will automatically turn into mms.
