My husband and I both have a Galaxy Note 3. we have issues getting each others text messages. Not all the time but most of the time.

We have Sprint and I have bugged them to death about this issue, tried all the things they suggest trying but nothing works.

As far as we can tell it is only between our two phones. I did download a third party message app (Chomp) but we still have the same issue.

I think it is the stock message app myself, but we are at a loss.

Anyone else with this issue or anyone have any suggestions? Beyond annoying.

I had same issue with Boost Mobile on Sprint.So does a friend of mine on the same carrier.
You can try resetting your phones,But I really think it is Sprint.

I think it is Sprint as well but they keep saying it is the phones. We have done a soft reset as Sprint called it but not a factory reset. Thing is we had the exact same issue with the Galaxy S2 when we both had those, but it started with those phones about 3 to 4 months before our contract ended and we upgraded.

It's the Network. I'm in L.A. and they've been updating the data network for the past few months, but still run into the hanging text message issue every now and then (as well as data connectivity issues). I learned a "new" procedure that would possibly "help,"

- Dial ##72786# on your phone dialer and it supposedly updates/refreshes the phone. Warning, the phone will re-start, I suggest doing this when you have time.

So far, it seems to have helped me a little, but doing research on it...there have been others that it didn't help.

Nonetheless, it's definitely not the phone. I recently got a warranty replacement from Samsung, so my replacement phone is only a week or two old.

Another thing that I typically do is soft reset (e.g. restart the phone) every night, for any of my devices. Just seems to help keep things working as flawlessly as possible.
