text notification problems

[Flaggermus]

My Samsung galaxy ace doesn't give me a notification when I get a text message anymore, but it used to. I have to check my messages to see if there has been a text, but occasionally the message symbol shows in the pull down tab.
How do I fix this?

The notification could have been affected by an application you installed. Troubleshoot from that end and see if it helps.

Yup, check the settings on the messaging app you use.
