Help Text Notifications not lighting up the screen

When I first got my phone, my text messages would light up the phone when they came in.. Now, it only makes a sound and then the notification light flashes. I hate having to turn the phone on to view the messages. Anyone know how to fix this??

It appears that you got a defective phone and it has since corrected itself, as it's not supposed to light up the screen, just a sound and notification light.

Imagine having a phone that did that in your pocket, that would suck Butt dialing all the time.

lol hmmmm, well thanks! I just downloaded SMS popup. I enjoy it. I guess I was use to my Pre waking up the screen.
