Help text on handcent app

i started using handcent for mesages a few months ago i preferred the layout the fact there was an sms counter on it amonsgt other things-

but in the last few days its become unbearable-the lag is so bad that its sending texts to the wrong people for example im typing out a text to one person its sending it to the person whos just sent me a message a few minutes ago even though ive got the right contact up-it been embarrassing a couple of time having sent private messages to the wrong people

just wondered if anyone else has had this problem-ive uninstalled it for now dont know whether to try again as its too risky sending messages to the wrong people all the time-or maybe try another app?

Not had any experience with Handcent, but I've been using Go!SMS for a while now and have found, on the whole, that it is pretty good. The only issue I've had so far has been to do with MMS (had problems sending/receiving). My problems relate to the APN settings though... I have changed them and have been able to recieve them since (not tried to send one though)!

What have you installed recently? It may be worth uninstalling all apps you installed recently (to see if the lag goes) and installing one by one to see if you can work out which app is causing the lag!
