Text-Sending Application

I have to text my mom whenever I drive, and going through the process of messages, to mom, typing leaving, and then sending is getting to be an annoying process. I am looking for an application that I can put on my homescreen, that when I press it, it sends the message "leaving" to my mom. And I figure that this has to have already been done. If I was any good at programming I would know how to do this. Anyone have any ideas? Ideally, I would want to have two icons, one for leaving and one for here.
