Does anyone know how to put a text signature on outgoing text messages I have the Evo phone

Hi keepinitreal34 and welcome to Android Forums. If there is a way, your fellow Evo users will be sure to know. You will want to check out your Evo area and ask. Not knowing which Evo you have, I'm leaving you a link to the list of Android phones we have specific areas for. Just open the list and give your particular Evo a click to join in the discussion area for your phone. Have fun and thanks for joining this community. Android Phones - Android Forums

I don't believe it can be done from the stock HTC Text app anymore, but you can download a 3rd party messaging app that offers that feature, example below

Hello...

Welcome aboard. I hope you'll find the resources on here to be helpful. The application that DonB posted above should do what you want.

Good luck.
