I can see text messages ok...but something like gmail, the text is too small.
Is root the only option or are there other ways to make the screen or text bigger?

As a side note, it's really difficult to see the OE outside/I usually put something over it to make a shadow, but still pretty bad.
What do others do?
EDIT: I found in the settings for Gmail...select more>settings>select which Gmail account>"Message text size">select size (tiny to huge)
