Help Text to Speech Issue

I decided to enable text to speech on my N7 and that was a huge mistake. Now I can't seem to turn it off. I can't scroll through down to get to the settings to shut it off.

Does anyone now how to scroll in text to speech mode?

That is a good procedure to stop any running application.

I did wonder whether to switch it off after initial disappointment of it not performing as well as my ipad but it is getting better now so will leave it switched on,not sure if it learns your voice over time?

You're talking about speech to text now I think... But no it doesn't learn your voice over time but I always found it to be quite accurate, even with my foreign accent.
