For some reason the Text-to-speech functionality has stopped working on my S8 and before I begin the annoying process of uninstalling one app at a time and re-testing or doing a reset, I'm hoping there is a more obvious solution that I missed. When using the Google Maps app the other day, I wasn't receiving any speech direction commands, yet a few days before it was working fine. In the process of trying to fix this, I discovered that the Text-to-speech appears to be not working at all. When I go into the phone settings Text-to-speech section and tap the "Listen to example", nothing plays. I've tried this with both the Samsung and Google TTS engines. I've also verified that I have the correct and installed language selected for both. I've tried restarting the phone multiple times as well. Any ideas?
