Text Tones

[Kithikor]

I just got a Samsung Galaxy S3. I love the messaging app that comes with the phone and want to use that, but I also want individual text notifications that only comes with Handcent or something. However, the message app is not a nice looking.

Am I stuck with the not so nice looking messaging app to use individual tones or do I have other options?

Thank you in advance.

There are a few apps out there that specifically target text tones:
SMS Sounds
Custom SMS Tones

And there is always Ringo which does text and call tones:
Ringo

I have an S3 as well. Wanna help but don't understand your q.
Do you want to know how to set indivivual ringtones?

While in messaging app tap the lower left button. Choose settings to adjust bubble style and background.

While in your contactlist (in neutral screen) you can appoint specific melodies from your phone or elsewhere to specific people.

Light Flow is free in the Play Store and can give you unique alerts by person, how often you are reminded that you have a call/sms/mms from them and (hardware dependent) give each caller a unique color indicator.
