Text vibration from moving phone

When I get a text and pick the phone up the phone will vibrate once I assume from detecting the movement. Is this some sort of feature?

Go to Settings > Motion > Smart Alert to disable if you don't use that feature.

It's designed to let you know if you've missed a call or message when you pick up your phone.
