Text vids Android to iPhone?

When will it be possible to TEXT full size, high quality videos back and forth between iPhones and Android phones?
When will there be an Android phone to compete with the Apple Watch.
I will jump ship back to Android the minute these two points are addressed because I much prefer Android but these two things are a show stopper.

yeah not sure when that will happen between the riff with apple and google.

as far as apple watch goes......my samsung gear s3 is pretty fantastic and works great with my note 10+. i really dislike the look of the apple watch. its way too square looking. i love my round rotating bezel on my watch

What do you mean by "text"? MMS, the one built-in universal standard, will never send full-size high quality videos. Apple choose to keep iMessage Apple-only (Jobs originally said they might make it cross-platform, but then decided it was better for iPhone sales not to do so). Google have been trying to push for the RCS standard, but Apple have said that they will not support this (because this would be equivalent to making iMessage cross-platform, i.e. remove one reason to buy an iPhone).

So your option is to pick a cross-platform messaging app that best matches what you want (i.e. sends at a quality you find acceptable) and persuade your friends to use that. That's how it's been for years, and it's not going to change in the foreseeable future. But understand that the you are the reason for this: Apple won't allow it precisely because this is how they keep people like you buying iPhones.

(Not speaking as a Google fanboi here: I'm actually quite critical and distrusting of Google and disable many of their key services. But in this particular case the obstacle is Apple).

I'm sure all message apps have some restrictions on video resolution/quality/length, but as I personally don't care much about video I can't make a recommendation here.

Nice writeup. Ultimately it's about companies playing nice, or lack thereof, lol.

Only real option is using same app on both platforms. I like sending pics via Google Photos as then you get choice of saving if you want, and you can have full quality images shared easily. Must have google email for user obviously though.

1) It's possible now I think.

2) Is the Apple watch actually any good? I don't know much about it actually, other than it must be used with an iPhone. But I do know with some Android smart-watches, avoid buying off
-brand cheapo, as some of those are just horrid.
