Help Text won't send while keyboard is displayed

I have a Galaxy S6, and use Textra as my messaging app. Just started having a problem where after typing the text, the Send option won't work while the keyboard is still displayed. Same thing happened on Facebook messenger. If I hit Back to clear off the keyboard but the message is still displayed, then the send button works. Very annoying. I saw someone on another forum had the same problem with Hangouts, but no answers yet. Any ideas?

1st thought, has the phone been turned off, then restarted?

if so, has that had any effect?

Never use Hangouts, but do use Textra as my only message app, and it has never failed to work right.

Have you changed your keyboard app?
if not, then try a different one to see if that resolves the issue.
several out there, I happen to like Swype the best, but SwiftKey is very popular.

I hope someone has an answer to this. My phone (LG V10) started doing the same thing about a week ago. I changed keyboards and messaging apps. Restarted phone but nothing has worked.

I posted the question and then found the answer 20 minutes later. The last thing I added was Google moments and it required permission "Draw over other apps" I turned it off for that app and now keyboard works fine.
