welcome to androidforums.com,i have a nexus 7 and a lg esteem(android) and ive used mighty text to do the same and you can use your computer too to send and recieve texts as well as your tablet,and the app is free in the playstore,if that doesnt work,i would recommend creating a free account with http://androidforums.com/ and then look up the forums of your phone and tablet,there is plenty of people in the forums to send you in the right direction!!! hope this helped!!!
