Help Texting issue, Verizon or Razr?

My wife and I have noticed that we have sent a few texts to each other but they haven't been received. We both have Razrs bought at the same time. My phone will show that the text went through but her phone never received it. Same has happened to her. So is this a problem with the phone or Verizon? Has anyone else had this happen?
 
I bet this is a Verizon issue. Call them up and see if they are having any issues with their system in your area.
 
Are you using the stock messaging tool? I've not had any issues. I sent a test message to my sister (but she is on at&t) and she had no issues receiving it. I sent a test message to myself (from google voice) and I received it fine - within seconds.
 
2 questions:

1) are your old phones powered off?
2) did you port in your number from another carrier?
 
Yes, we did port our numbers from Sprint. Yes we are using the stock messaging app. It's pretty random when this happens. We can go days without it happening and then it will happen while we are having a conversation. I can send her four messages and the 4th just won't get received. I'll try to swing by Verizon in the next day or two and see if they can help.

I have been having this issue, phone buzzes and makes sound like a message is received and no message listed.

Found no solution so far.
 
I also ported my number from sprint; but to be honest I don't text that often; maybe 2 or 3 times a week. Did you check my verizon to see if the missing text was recorded against your quota; that would tell you if it was sent...

if you had JUST ported, I would say give it a few days. since you obviously ported more than a few days ago, I would call. make sure you can give specific examples- what # you sent to, date, time- so they check records. helps determine if network not transmitting or if it's the phone.

It's been more than a month since we switched so things should be done as far as that goes. I guess we will just need to take both phones in and show them what's going on. Grrr. So far, not too happy with Verizon. Love the phone though.
 
I've had this happen on a few occasions. Messages would be sent from my wife but they wouldn't come through for several hours or more. I believe one of them was delayed by a day. I've been on Verizon for many many years and I haven't seen this.
 
If it were just delayed I may not mind it so much. But these are texts from like a week ago that still haven't come through. :(
 
I had the same exact problem! Wasn't getting a lot of text messages and even a voicemail. People would show me texts that they sent me and I never got them. That's a big, big problem! Must be a Verizon issue. Just switched to the Nexus, so far don't know of any problems.
