Help texting issue

This happens intermittently, I receive a txt, my notification alarms and show up in the notification bar. When I open the txt app, there is no new txt to view. The only app I have installed is my cast weather (paid) This issue happened before and after downloading the weather app.

Any thoughts?

Try a hard reset.

Hard reset was performed last week. The issue still occurs.
