Help Texting issue.

Whenever I unlock my phone to respond to a text message, my text box goes grey, displays a "type to compose" message, and won't actually let me type in the field provided. I have to exit out and reopen the thread many times to actually be able to do so.

I often have the same issue. I can always tell when it is about to glitch, because when the text entry box is selected, all the keyboard letters are lowercase when they should default to uppercase at the beginning of a sentence. This didn't always happen during the life of my phone, but it has started within the past couple of months. My wife has the same phone, and hers does the same thing.

Has anyone else ever seen this behavior?
