Texting messaging glitch?

This should only happen if you have not finished sending the previous text message. If this is not the case then I would advise running a software update on your handset.
 
this is the 3rd attempt to post a reply using my phone. l use handcent and the only time this happens is when I don't send it then it will save it in drafts then when o go back into the message then the text is still in the box

My phone is up to date and so is the pc companion. It happens after i send the message so there is no way i didn’t finish sending it. This is why I’m perplexed as to a solution. and i use the defult keyboard

Open the Messaging app and hit the left button the front of the phone (Menu button) Delivery Report and Notification checked. Also, chose last settings to have your settings pushed.

You should be able to receive your settings from your provider. (these are the settings that will let your phone receive picture messages and other media)
 
Open Settings->Wireless and Network->Mobile networks->APN....is there already an Access point and it has a radio dot beside it? If so then all MMS and messaging stuff is set up properly.

So if the problem persists it might have to do with the messaging app specifically.

If that is the case, easiest fix is to use another messaging app....like the popular Handcent.
 
Everything seems to be innorder there. I tried the handcent about 10 mins ago I'm not really getting into it. I may just have to deal with it till I can get a new phone I dOnt enjoy the experta x10 its nothing a pain since I got it and texting is horrible to do and I hardly hear anyone when I call even after intensively cleaning the calling speaker. Ohh well I may go to a htc or something that actually works like it should.

Here is what you want to do if you install Handcent. Open the old app....Messaging and go back into settings with the left Menu button and uncheck Notification.

Then in Handcent, open it and hit the left button and go under Settings and I like to turn off the popups.

Then all messages will go through Handcent, still be handled and stored using the default messaging app. And now you get the blue LED if you are txtd.

As for the speaker...some people have complained about it. I don't have that problem. Don't cover the speaker hole on the side by accident with your thumb.

Android is all about customization. There are hundreds of ways to do things and fix things on your phone.
 
Yeah im just going to use the Handcent i guess, because this glitch is making me want to throw my phone across the room, if i had money to buy another i would.
 
happened to me once that the txt i sent is stuck in the draft.... in the default messenger would keep it and handsent would always tell me there was a draft while there was nothing

Clearing the cache of the app whould help to do so ... Settings - application - manage applications - click on Handcent SMS - Clear cache
