Texting on Android not as accurate as IPHONE, HELP!

I just changed over from Iphone to a Sony Xperia V and notice the texting, when I type single letters (not swype), is not as accurate as the Iphone.

I'm not able to type as accurate and fast. How do I fix this? Are there other keyboards that are more accurate? Or an apple iphone clone keyboard that I can install on this thing?

Swiftkey is praised by many but it was not for me.

In the Google Play store, a developer was able to emulate the iphone keyboard. Search "iphone keyboard." I have it and it does wonders for typing accuracy.
 
Try a different keyboard. I like Swiftkey. There is a 30 day trial or you can get the Swiftkey Flow Beta for free. If you set it to rapid typing it's like the iPhone keyboard. Other good keyboards include: Kii, Swype, and Go Keyboard.

Is there a keybaord that also has the emoticons on the keyboard? I odnt like having to go to the TOP RIGHT of my phone to access emoticons.

Also, I would liek to do keyboard shortcuts. There's a lot of slang I use... and I used to program my iphone to when I type "yy" - it says some slang i use.

Any keyboard that has the iphone accuracy of texting plus these 2 features?
 
Try an app called kii keyboard. It has a huge amount of features and customisations available. You can "teach" it all your slang words and once its installed you can download the emoji plug in, then they're available via a long press on the space bar.
 
In Swiftkey, if you long press the return carriage in the bottom right, it brings up a panel of emoticons.
Once you're used to it, Swiftkey is way easier to use than iPhone keyboard--for me, anyway.
For what it's worth, I can't type on an i-Thing.

Have you checked your Sony keyboard settings to see if there is a "Calibrate" function? Some phone keyboards have this capability. If there is a calibration routine, run that a few times & see if it increases the accuracy.
 
+1 for Kii keyboard - very customizable, keyboard shortcuts, sizing, emoticons, themes - it has it all. Currently running a free beta version to try it out.
 
As mentioned above, unlike apple, there are dozens of choices for keyboards. Some are free even.
