Help Texting problems

dear friends, hope you can help. no letters/words appear on the screen when i text holding the phone horizontally. the vibrations are there when i touch the pad. the suggested vocabulary words also appear. but no letters or words appear at all. vertical texting, no problem. what can be done?

also, when texting, the automatic capital letter at the beginning of sentences has somehow been disabled. any way to fix?

I had the automatic capital letter problem too. The fix on my Lg Lucid was to touch the numbers key on the lower left and hold it for a second. This will put you into a settings area where you can turn on auto capitalize.
