Help texting set up

Ok this may seem simple, but completely new to this phone, have worked out most things but can't figure out why my texts won't send, I have tried directly adding numbers as well as using the contacts list but they come straight back as undelivered.
The sim is from another phone and it worked ok on that one.

Any ideas?

You might need to request settings for SMS and MMS from your carrier. Sometimes new phones need that before they'll work properly. Call customer services and ask, if that's the case you should get a message from them with instructions what to do.
