Is there an app or a sight that will let me send a text message from a different number? I've googled this with no working results.

No, and I'm almost positive that spoofing your number is illegal.

Yes, there are programs and site, Ive seen it done. Its not illegal.

Ok well I just googled "sms spoofing" and found many sites that show you how to do it.

In the U.S. according to the Truth in Caller ID Act of 2010, it is illegal to spoof your number if you are calling someone. However, after reading through it, it says nothing about texting. Just caller ID. I guess you're free to go in the States for text spoofing.

There was a similar thread to this one a few months ago. I basically thought the same thing, that since caller id spoofing is illegal, it MUST be illegal to spoof a text message. Apparantly not. It doesnt make any sense to me, but thats just how it is.

Turns out I can do it right off the Verizon website, the sender comes up "unverified sender" but the callback can be whatever u make. It would be nice just to have a program from the market for this, ok sure there will be one soon.
