Textra Ghost Notification

For the past 3 days my Note 4 running Lollipop 5.01 has been showing unread text messages ranging from 1 to as many as 9 in Textra 3.0 icon's bubble with no new messages having arrived. I have stopped and restarted the app and as well as uninstalling and reinstalling it to no avail. Is this happening to anyone else?

yes, same here. When i deleted a couple of old texts, the new ones showed up.

Tried clearing data in Textra in Settings, Applications?
(you might lose all your messages, I'm not sure)
