Help Textra Notifications

El Presidente

Beware The Milky Pirate!
I've seen a few folk recommend it, so I recently switched from QKSMS to Textra.

On QKSMS, when an SMS came through, I had the option to Reply, Read (Dismiss) or Call via the entry in the notification pull down.

I can't see a similar function or option on Textra unless I'm missing something?

If it's not there, is there an xposed module that could potentially add that functionality?

I'll have a look. I'm not a fan of the in your face notification popup (especially if I'm watching something), but I'll have a play about and see what it can do.

Cheers . :)

Lol, not your fault.

It's not an essential, I just grew accustomed to having the buttons there and in the words of Cinderella, you don't know what you got till it's gone.

I went to Textra because it has "just enough" features to get the job done, fast and efficiently and it is pleasant to look at.

I used to use Chomp SMS, but it is too cluttered for my tastes.

I have a half assed workaround. If I set the "Tap Notification to Open" option to "Quick Reply with or without Keyboard" (it doesn't matter either way), I'll get a reply box when I press the floating notification banner. From there, I can reply, press the contact icon to call the number messaging me, or just press back to dismiss/read.

Not exactly what I was after, but it does the same in roughly the same amount of finger work.

Agree re. Chomp though, it looks nice, but it's a little cluttered for my liking.
