Help Texts showing up in wrong order.

I've been having this problem with my S3 recently, I'll provide an example.

"Hi jabarr39" - sent at 8:00pm

"I'm great thanks for asking!" - sent at 8:02pm

"Hi friend x, how are you?" - sent at 8:02pm

The initial greeting message was responded to at 8:02, yet the response to MY response albeit happening at a later point in time, is for some reason showing up first in my message screen.

I couldn't find any settings to try and adjust this problem nor was google any help on this one.

Wondering if anyone has dealt with this before.

That's quite odd. Have you tried clearing the cache on the messaging app or clearing the data on it?

Had this problem once with my old desire hd, turned out it was a simple date and time setting, check those and put right if they're wrong, cured it for me
