Texts vai WIFI on sprint instead of TMOBILE ?

I have a galaxy S3 with sprint as the provider.

I want the functionality available on TMOBILE, ie, I would like to get texts via WIFI with my cellular off (put phone in airplane mode, but put WIFI on).

There seem to be many WIF call and texting apps, but these always seem poorly reviewed and seem to give you a new phone number.

There are also a bunch of apps that pair your cell phone with a tablet to give your tablet texting ability with your cell phones main number. But I dont want that.

Is there any way to get the basic TMOBILE texts via WIFI functionality on the sprint network

I should have googled before posting ... Looks like in Febuary samsung rolled this feature out to the Galaxy Mega and the Galaxy S4 Mini, with plans on rolling it out on more phones in the remaninder of 2014. howevern, its now 6 months later and i dont see anthing about additional phones bring supported.

Also, I have vigin mobile, which uses sprint, but not sure if my phone will get the update when/if it comes to the S3.
