Help TF101 as a tablet.

I am purchasing my TF101 at Bestbuy (where I work) on thursday. I am loving everything about this tablet so far. Microsd, Mini HDMI, SD in the dock, I could go on and on. One thing I am a bit curious about is: How is the TF101 as a tablet if lets say the dock didn't exist? Would you TF101 owners think so highly of it still? Also, will the ASUS leather case cooperate with the keyboard dock?

Thanks ;)

I bought my Transformer to use as a pure tablet. The keyboard dock is something I'd consider down the track if I really need it, otherwise I've got a proper windows laptop and I've had eeepc's in the past.

I've had a play with the other various tablets, and they're all pretty much the same.

In the brief play I had, I noticed the Toshiba unit was suffering from severe slowdown for whatever reason, and the xoom felt a bit crappy to hold. I've been a fan of Asus stuff before, and this one seemed to get good reviews....so I bought one.

Being only wifi and not having 3g brings the price down too which is good cos I don't need 3g.

My only negative would be the dimensions. if the keyboard dock didn't exist it wouldn't have to be as wide as it is.

Sweet, thanks, very helpful. What case are you using? and what are some of your favorite apps?

I've just ordered the Asus sleeve case thingy from the US so until then....my eeepc sleeve will have to suffice :P

So far my fave app seems to be Opera. Boring I know, but the built in browser seems to crash on me a lot on certain websites.

The tablet seems good but add the keyboard it's GREAT.
-more battery
-helpful buttons for a lot of what I have to dive into the settings for
-typing emails is a breeze
-nice "screen protection" during transport

I wouldn't even consider getting any tablet without a keyboard dock. I think this form factor is the only way to go!! I like getting the most b bang out my tech. The TF may be a little bit hefty but it's the only way to go imo.
