Help Tf101 refusing to power on have Bb replacement plan. Need advice.

I bought a tf101 back in December and got the best buy replacement plan. Since then I've been consistently having problems with the SOD and not powering back on.

Since the latest update it will now not power on unless plugged into the dock or the wall and I'm considering taking it in. Have any of you had any experience with this replacement plan?

You've already bought the plan, that makes it too late to ask about people's experience with it... :)

I'd say it's time to take it to them and see what they'll do for you.

You have a fair point sir. I'm traveling for work for a while so its more I was curious if I would be able to walk back out with a new tablet or if I was going to have to wait around for a couple weeks.

Well it worked out pretty well for me depending on how you look at it. They told me they had never seen a tablet do that, which I thought was funny, but they also told me that its not a repair issue and they would just credit me the purchase price toward a new one, which I thought I was going to have to fight for. I could have done an in store order for another TF101 and not had to buy a keyboard, but I took the opportunity to upgrade to the TF300 and just ate the cost of a new keyboard, thats where I lost out depending on how you look at it.

I will say the TF300 is just awesome. I loved my 101 and would have happily taken another one had they been instock, but I'm pretty glad I made the switch. No wifi issues like the prime, and super fast, although I cant really tell the difference in speed with what I've done so far. Also my xbox controller worked out of the box so that was cool.

So yea, it worked out and a replacement warranty was finally worth the money. Thanks for your input guys!

... and super fast, although I cant really tell the difference in speed with what I've done so far...

I'm not trying to be argumentative or anything, but if it's not obviously faster in day to day use, is it really 'super fast'?

I played (briefly) with one at Best Buy, and thought the same thing. The specs say it should be really fast, but in using it I didn't see any difference in speed. I expected web pages to load MUCH faster, but it didn't seem to happen as compared to the TF101 next to it.

Web pages arent too different, where I've really noticed the speed is reading pdfs that are graphic heavy, switching in the app drawer and graphic heavy games like shadowrun work much nicer.

All in all if this wouldn't have happened or if they would have had a 101 in stock I would have been happy with what I had, but I'm very happy with this one also.

The battery in this one is monumentally better. I've only charged the combo once since Thursday last week.
